My Journey to Wellness

Today I was looking back through old photos, and I came across these. Taken when I was at my lowest point of the full impact of hashimotos and dangerously low B12. The unfocused look in my eyes, and the darkness around them isn't just bad timing for the photograph, it's how I actually looked back then, when I would slip into overwhelming tiredness and foggy brain, frequently throughout the day, for approx 6 months. I would have to just stop, lay down and sleep, so most of my days were spent sleeping..! as my body and mind would shut down

I had yellowing around my face, like I had been drawn on with a yellow felt tip. (great hair I know!)

Fortunately I was absolutely determined to be well, to get to the bottom of why I felt so awful, so unwell, so tired, so foggy brained. I researched as much as I could, in small bouts, resting in between. I had to give up work, so I had lots of free time! ....
B12 anaemia, megaloblastic anaemia, iron deficient anaemia, hypo thyroid, nutrient deficiency in general due to gut malabsorption, due to leaky gut, inflammation, gut brain axis, liver not metabolising correctly, brain fog, food intolerances, weight gain, bloating, allergies, very painful periods, depression, co-ordination interference, overwhelm, yellow skin, fatigue, odd random pains, heart palpitations.
The work began as I worked my way through to the other side of this state of dis-ease, using food, becoming vegan from vegetarian, nutrients, plant medicine, teacher plants, shamanism, yoga, meditation, deep internal work, nature, love, courage, determination
A journey that taught me a lot, and changed my life, for the better, and is still teaching me, so that I can help others
